The Crimson Wolfos
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Welcome to the Crimson Wolfos Inn!
You enter a large room, and immediately the delicious smell of cooking
food invades your senses. Directly opposite the entrance, on the other
side of the Tavern, is a large bar, behind which there seems to be a
good supply of ale and wine, and a few other of the Inn's specialties.
A swinging door with a sign on it reading "Staff Only!" leading
to the kitchen is also visible, the sounds of clanging pots and pans
and an occasional shout from one of the cooks emits from behind it over
the din of patrons laughing and talking in the main room. The
crackling of flames licking wood can also be heard, for left of the
entrance, surrounded by a large cluster of tables, is the hearth, in
which there is often a bright fire burning. Other tables and chairs
are scattered about the open area of the Tavern, and to the right a
stairway leading up to the Inn's many rooms can be seen.
You may type 'menu' for a list of the Tavern's commodities. If you
don't see what you like on the list, just ask! Our cooks are very
knowledgeable!

It's a crisp, dry night in which the heavens are clear and the stars as thick as salt. There's a warm breeze that carries the smells of the field, of earth and grass and the freshness that comes with fresh water. It makes the leaves of the tree rattle constantly, and the grass part against it. It's a night much like any night... but not for long. A few good minutes after a certain Hero of Time left, or been gone for the night, sounds a soft cackle. It's distant, thin, and might make more than one person shiver. Some might not even hear it, if they're not particularly aware. Then there's silence for some time.
Walking into the Wolfos, Einion shoves his gear into his locker. Making his way upto the bar, he orders a green tea and some combination fried rice. When the hot tea comes, his takes a big whiff of it before he starts drinking it and smiles.
Coming from upstairs, Nabooru looks around the Wolfos. After a decent nap she's a bit dehydrated. Walking into the tavern she spots Einion and gives him a lazy wave while making her way to the bar. She orders up a glass of water then sits at a table near a window. Something is settling uneasily on her, but she can't quite place what it is. Taking a sip of water she sighs, deciding to shrug it off for now.
Xu's been away from the Wolfos for quite a small while, and so none of the recent goings-on have managed to reach her. Thus is the state in which she arrives at the Wolfos, expecting everything to be just as it's always been. She enters through the small door, stowing her bow and arrows in the lockers next to the door, and goes off searching for her friends.
Aubrey moves about the tavern, slowly sweeping up after the day's traffic. He pauses to lean on the broomstick and reflect. It's not like he has any real cause to complain, but things have had a certain...wearisomeness, since Irina left. Apart from the simple fact that she's the inn's most industrious worker, there's so much that's happened and so much Aubrey's looking forward to doing that he can't really do until Irina gets back. :/ And looking after little June can be something of a handful too. Oh well, she could get back anytime. Aubrey continues his work, giving the newcomers polite nods as they enter. "Hi there, Einion...evening, Nabooru."
Appearing silently in the shadows, a figure moves slowly into the light. He stops half way, but it is apparent by his costume and deep red eyes that he is a Sheikah...
The two twins come swooping in, bringing with them an unpleasant presence of both radiating heat and unnatural cold. People might not see the two tiny witches overhead, but they'd definitely hear Kotake's laughter. "EE HEE HEE HEE!" There's a raspy "Hweh!" as a fireball is launched right at the roof of the Crimson Wolfos, which begins to burn. After a several moments people might begin to hear the faint sounds of a building being burnt down. While Koume does her work. Kotake only briefly launches a ball of ice that hits the door, which would make it markedly harder to open up. Then, she's circling around, keeping a sharp lookout.
"Good evening....Aubrey." Nabooru yawns while streching. She taps her fingers on the table lightly, thinking to herself about the Fortress and her next course of action, but soon all of that is shattered as she looks to the ceiling and sees it on fire. Jumping up out of her seat she rushes over to the door to open it, but to no avail, it's frozen shut. she curses under her breath banging her fist against the door.
Einion waves lazily back to Nabooru after he notices her come down the stairs, then greets Aubrey with his usual "Howdy," and another lazy wave to him and one to Xu as she comes in. When his food arrives, he thanks the waiter that brought it, then starts eating like he had not eat in a day or two, but then he hears the laughter and the sounds of burning and such. Reacting quickly, he jumps under the table.
Xu begins a lazy meander over towards Einion when she sees him, casting a wave back at him as she walks. Yet before she makes it over there, the sound of the fireball hitting the roof causes Xu to duck down in defence... as the wicked laughter outside catches in Xu's breath. She quickly dashes back for the lockers to get her bow and arrow back out, looking for the easiest exit from the inn.
Aubrey looks over quickly as he sees a glowing flash off to the side. o.o Whoa! The inn's under attack! :O The few patrons still present soon set up quite a clamor, screaming, tripping over each other to get to the door or the weapons locker or the stairs, and generally creating chaos. The situation's looking pretty bad until-- "Ten'SHUN!!!" bellows a gargantuan voice, and everybody stops to look. Noab stands beside the open door to the back kitchen, pointing authoritatively through it. "All civilians will now proceed in a CALM AND ORDERLY fashion to the emergency shelter! Inn staff will guide you through the evacuation procedure! Those who push, break line, or panic will answer to ME!!! Now let's move out!" >O Most of the frightened customers come to some semblance of order and begin filing through the door under Noab's glaring eye.
Nabooru turns a sharp eye to Noab and sighs a sigh of relief. "Everybody will be able to get out of here safely." she thinks to herself. Darting to the weapons locker, she takes out her twin scimitars and draws them, preparing for the worst to come. Her grasp is tight around them, angry at the current situation. She curses to herself again, as she watches the crowd attempt to file themselves into the emergency shelter.
Einion makes a run for the lockers as well after noticing Xu do the same. Grabbing his gear, he looks around as he says to Xu, "Hey, long time no see, Xu." Hearing Noab give the order, he looks in the Goron's direction and gives Xu a tug of her sleeve. Looking back, he gives a nod in Noab's direction and says, "Let's go."
"Hweh! Hweh!" Two more shouts sound as two more fireballs hit the roof, and now the flames have set the whole inn ablaze. Smoke begins to start pouring in, white and choking. A few bits of ceiling fall down, perhaps hitting anyone who hasn't taken cover, but they're no more than chunks of hot wood. Despite the thick layer of ice on the door, the fire is actually beginning to melt it. It isn't melting quickly, but enough that perhaps a few hard attacks might bash it open. Not that that'd provide them any safety once they got outside. For good measure, the windows of the main room find a thick sheet of ice covering them. And there's another laugh, as well as the voice of Kotake shrieking, "If you let yourself be burnt to death, we might not steal your souls! Hee!"
From a distance, two figures see smoke rising from Hyrule Field.
Xu hears Noab giving orders from the other side of the Wolfos, and she immediately gets in line, eager to get out of the Wolfos. She puts her quiver upon her back and suddenly finds herself next to Einion. "Long time indeed, and it's a shame it's not under better circumstances either! Quick, let's get out of this place!" She's impatient to get out, and thankfully Noab's system is efficient in doing that.
Watching as others take charge and move towards the emergency shelter, Sheik begins looking for a way outside. Looking up to roof, an open ring to the outside continues to burn away. Finding a careful place to stand away from the flames, Sheik leaps up through the roof.
A lone figure begins approaching from the west, from the direction of the ranch in the centre of Hyrule Field. He saw the smoke bellowing up from the east, and quickly he ran out into the night towards the Wolfos. Under the guise of night, Dark Link is practically invisible... and he stops a good distance away to take a better analysis of the scene. "Damn witches," he says to himself beneath his breath.
Einion secures his swords to the sides of his hips, responding to Xu, "Yeah, it's a shame we're getting burned outta here like ants, too," as the two get in line.
Kaydin comes after a long day of preaching in the market and returns into the inn to...notice it on fire...It takes a second then it registers. "ACK!" He yells out as he looks around. He tries to look for an exit, not sure where one was in the blaze.
Nabooru runs over to Kaydin and grabs his arm abruptly. Tugging him away and to the emrgency shelter she coughs as the smoke starts to get to her. "No time for words, just follow me!" she yells as she assumes a position in line with him in her grasp.
Aubrey looks around in a half-daze at the chaotic situation. Mr. Noab seems to have things well in hand as far as getting people out, good...the only items Aubrey holds precious he carries with him at all times anyway...looks like the only thing to do is get out with the rest of th--JUNE! O.O; Oh no, he's still upstairs in Irina's room! Aubrey dashes upstairs to find the child. Meanwhile, Noab brings up the rear of the line heading down into the cellar. Despite the danger of the situation, and the sting of having the inn that was entrusted to him burning, Noab can't help a little smirk. He /knew/ all those hours spent digging that escape tunnel would pay off someday. >) The inn workers lead the way through the dark hole that leads away from the inn.
Link rides across Hyrule field on Epona, Irina in tow. They ride from the direction of the Lost Woods. He follows the banks of the river, following the rising plume of smoke.
Now upon the roof, Sheik looks around to find the source of the chaos and does not have to look far. He can see the witches circling the inn, mocking those inside. He kneels, thinking quickly of what to do next.
Irina comes with Link, gasping as she realizes what is going on. As soon as they arrive, she hops off Epona, drops her bag on the floor, and runs towards the door, which is unfortunately frozen.
It was both a good deed and a bad deed on Nabooru's part. Koume laughs when she sees their former servant running. The inn is now a torch with smoking twisting to the sky. Kotake, however, is looking suspiciously at the inn. Where are all their delicious screams? Well, perhaps there aren't many people in there. Unfortunately for Kaydin, she's getting an attack of ice right from behind her. Even if she should dodge it, she'll find the ground ahead slippery as, well, a frozen lake. Koume however is facing the bigger fish. Irina and... "YOU!" But first to take care of that troublesome girl at the door. If she doesn't move fast, she might find herself abruptly frozen to the spot. As for Koume, she dives in low, to ram Link right off his horse.
Dark Link continued his run towards the inn, closing in fast upon the building. However, it seemed that Irina was trying to get in instead of getting out. But he sees Kotake on the wind up, and, so though he's already breathless, he makes a running leap at the door to push Irina out of the way from the icy blast sent her direction.
Sheik leaves Koume for Link and attends to Kotake. He jumps from the roof and lands hard, rolling onto the ground. The roll turns into a sprint towards Nabooru. "Keep back, witch!" Sheik says in a loud, commanding shout, throwing a dart across the witch's nose.
Kaydin gets dragged along until he felt his legs freeze and watches Nabooru run on ahead with a piece of his sleeve. "AW!" He yells as he tries to struggle, hitting at the ice with his staff, trying to break it off. "I risked my life to get here, and here will not be where I fall!" He yells as he tries to break free.
Link was unable to see Koume through the smoke-filled air. He jumps off just before impact and hears Epona buckling, then running off into the field towards Lon Lon Ranch. The green warrior crashes to the ground and rolls into the brush, the world spinning uncontrollably for a few moments.
Einion makes his way along the escape tunnel, walking down the dark corridor with his head lowered. Exiting a quarter mile away, he breaks line and tries to get a glimpse of what's going on.
Irina did not see the two witches, but she did see the ice coming towards her. She tried to dodge it, but she probably would not have been fast enough... until Dark pushed her out of the way, which makes her fall to the ground. She quickly turns to see the Shadow in a block of ice, and gasps. There's one thing that can melt ice, and -ironically- by luck, it's everywhere here. She grabs a fallen piece of wood, still on fire, and uses it to try to melt the ice around the shadow.
Xu reaches the end of the escape tunnel along with Einion, at which point she pulls an arrow from her quiver and nocks it upon the string. She looks to Einion, her face a little dirty from the tunnel and the smoke. "For the love of Nayru, we're further away than I thought," she says to Einion. "I'm going back; someone may need us there..."
Aubrey coughs uncontrollable, staggering through the smokey hallway to reach Irina's room. He can barely see where he's going, but soon he can guide himself by June's frightened cries. Aubrey bursts into Irina's room, where the air is thankfully a bit clearer. June is curled up on Irina's bed, hugging his knees to his chest. Aubrey goes over to the window and opens it, breathing deeply of the keen night air outside. When he feels a bit steadier, he turns to June. "Come on," Aubrey coughs, "we need to get out of here." Aubrey lets June clamber onto his back, then carefully climbs out the window and onto the sloped roof.
"Yeah, we are a bit far away," Einion responds to Xu. He unsheaths his sabres as he walks alongside Xu. With a bit of a determined look on his face, he says to Xu, "I'm coming with."
Now that was silly Sheik. A sneak attack might have worked... shouting loudly is a big warning for Kotake to turn around. And she merely tilts a little to the left to avoid the dart. "Another fresh one!" she says. "But I have no time for you! Ho ho!" But she does launch a great gust of ice right at him. Getting anywhere Nabooru would have him... on ice! As for Koume her broom begins to twirl like a top, and she vanishes in a puff of flame, to reappear right beside the most unlikely target... Epona! And blocking the ranch ahead. Yes, it's clear that after her first angry attack, she's not going to be near Link. A fireball is launched right at the horse's whole left side. As for those on the roof they'll feel it giving way a little..careful! It's about to cave in in ten seconds!
Dark Link isn't fast enough to dodge the ice bolt and get Irina out of the way, and so he gets encased in midair inside a block of ice. He can still see somewhat through the translucent blue crystal, and so he sees Irina trying to thaw him out using a board or something set aflame. The ice is already melting a little just from the fire all around him, but the torch makes the ice melt faster where it's applied, and it quickly melts to where Dark's head is exposed once again. "Hope you'll forgive me for interrupting," he says.
Kaydin finally breaks the ice which kept him and looks to hear the roof. "This isnt good!" He yells as he see's a nearby window. He grunts and leaps right through it, leaping out of the flaming building with a sigh, looking a bit blackened from smoke, his white hair now dark grey. He looks around and begins to try and sneak up on one of the flying witches.
From the cover of the brush and smoke, Link follows Koume via the tip of an arrow. Witnessing the callous attack on his steed, his heart grows cold. He feels an icy energy travel through his body and out of his finger tips, transfering into the arrow, its metal tip glowing an intense blue. The smoke is momentarily cut by a faint blue line as his fingers release the arrow into the air.
Epona stumbles to the ground momentarily as she is attacked. The fire causes her to panic and she bolts into another random direction in a frenzy.
Aubrey makes his way around the perimeter of the roof, to the side closest to the river. Whoever these attackers are, they seem to be focused on the front side of the inn, so the best chance of escape is off the back. Unfortunately, that doesn't do much for the fact that they still have to get down two stories to the ground below. o.o; As Aubrey stands there, praying for some sort of solution, he feels the structure beginning to give way beneath him. Time's up. x.x Oh well, at least June's landing will be relatively soft. Aubrey takes a short shuffling run and leaps off the roof. This is gonna hurt...
Sheik tries to hold Kotake's attention. "Did your master send you? What is his plan, witch?" he asks her, shouting over the chaos and flames.
"Well, we're not going to make it back quickly if we just walk, Einion," Xu says to her friend. She jogs a little bit, though doesn't run, her lungs a little sore from the smoke everywhere. From a good bit away, she can see the two witches flying around, having their fun with the Wolfos. However, still from this far away, Xu wouldn't be able to get a clear shot at either of them, fast as they were.
Irina sees the ice melting and pants, smiling a bit as she grabs Dark by the shoulders, making sure that he's OK. "Thank you!" she says quickly, and then runs towards Link. As soon as she is there, panting, she talks to him, trying to improvise a plan.
"Good idea," the smith responds as he starts jogging alongside Xu. He takes a look at the scene, trying to make up his mind as to whether he should bring his bow out or not, but decides to keep his blades out in case.
"KOUME!" Kotake shouts in warning, and Koume veers out of the way... not quite. The arrow hits her sleeve, not even piercing, but the ice energy explodes and she's reeling through the air. An aura of heat shimmers around her, quickly melting the ice and she's looking shrewdly in the direction it came from. There, there... curse that boy! But again, Koume doesn't attack. Instead, she vanishes once more to appear near the inn, namely right behind Sheik! He might feel the heat being charged up as behind him a ball of flame is launched at his back. Kotake after seeing her sister there veers away from Sheik, for she has seen who just saved the girl at the door... "I was hoping to see you, traitor!" she says, ice gathering around her. "Your king does not forget! Hoy!" The ice attack is much different this time. It goes, rather than in a ball, something more of a rain of icicles sharp enough to pierce, in a succession of six at him. For now, the others go unnoticed...at leasting, seemingly.
Dark Link casts a brief smile to Irina and is freed soon thereafter, and he pulls himself out of the ice cube, falling upon the ground. Yet it seems he's attracted enough attention just by being here. "Well that's good; give my regards, won't you!?" he yells back with a smile plastered on his face. As the ice ball approaches him, Dark Link just snaps his fingers and disappears from where he was standing, the ball of ice completely missing him. He reappears a few feet over the ice witch, falling down upon her. "You never were much for tactics..."
Kaydin continues to sneak around, finally getting around back of the inn. He looks around to make sure they dont sneak up on him and looks up just in time to see someone jump. He drops his staff and attempts to try and catch the man, although he may just serve to be a cushion.
Aubrey experiences a lucid moment as he falls through the air. Let's see now, what would be the best way to take the landing? Should he try to land on his feet or his belly? Brace for impact or take it limply? Just as his thought experiments are approaching a conclusion, though, a new variable throws everything off: some poor guy just stopped right where gravity is pulling Aubrey. o.o; The bard and his little passenger land with a sprawling thud on Kaydin. Oof. x.x Oh well, at least there don't seem to be any broken bones. n.n; Aubrey was sure he'd have to tell June to run away without him and hope for the best playing possum. "Thanks," Aubrey grunts, pushing himself up off Kaydin, "and sorry. You okay?"
Xu hurries towards the Wolfos and quickly finds Aubrey making the jump from the roof with June. She hurries over to them to make sure that they're alright. "Everyone okay? We need to get you guys out of here..." Xu trains now her bow on the sky, not certain where the withces are at that moment.
Sheik, feeling the heat at his back, turns just in time to miss most of Koume's fireball. A single flame catches his arm, which Sheik hurriedly puts out as he rolls across the ground. "Damn you! What's the point of this attack?" he yells, presumably to Koume.
Einion is right behind Xu as she checks up on everyone. Getting a small glimpse of everyone there, he says, "Xu, I'm gonna go check on the fight," as he heads around the Inn.
Kaydin is landed on and acks again, used as a hylian mattress. "I am fine. Go somewhere safe, avoid being seen." He says, picking up his staff and beginning to sneakily run around the inn, hoping to get around to see who was responsible.
Aubrey gets up shakily. He's sore, but he can still carry June, who still has a rather vice-like grip around Aubrey's neck. Oh, speaking of which...Aubrey tugs at June's arms a little so he can breath better. x.x "'S'okay now," he manages. "We're gonna be fine." Aubrey nods to Xu. "Yeah...suppose we'll head along the river and try to reach Kakariko. Unless you have a better idea." Aubrey turns and starts heading in a general northerly direction.
Link watches his attack work with mixed success. He turns his attention to the blazing Wolfos and pulls out his ocarina. He closes his eyes and plays the Song of Storms, hoping he can conjure up enough storm to calm the flames.
Epona disappears into the field under a cover of smoke. She is still spooked and injured and runs to seek a safe place.
Einion rushes back and says, "Ok, scratch that...," as he sheaths his swords. As he hears Aubrey say something about going to Kakariko, he says, "I'll come with you guys. My place and smithy are in Kakariko, so I can give you guys a place to stay." Turningt to Xu, he asks, "You coming with? I imagine that Irina and them can hold their own pretty well. Hell, I've seen Link fight, and I've heard Irina's a pretty good fighter."
And next to Link is Irina, who waits for him to play the song. while she waits, looking to the Wolfos in front of her, she finally sees the whole building in flames and what is going on finally hits her. She can't get in, and the thought of June still being in there is driving her crazy. As she sees the rain starting to fall on the inn, the barmaid snaps out of her thoughts and focuses on the plan. Closing her eyes and bringing her hands together on her chest, she remains quiet and focused for a few moments. After a few seconds, the falling rain becomes much stronger, helping to bring the fire down.
Lacking in tactics they might be, but the Twinrova twins are deceptively quick. When Dark Link disappears, Kotake shoots out of the way like an arrow, leaving Sheik to fall by himself to the ground. She's looping around, and giving a shout to her sister, who also goes around. They're making a wide circle around every person within sight of the inn, though notably avoiding Link. And slowly the ground begins to... darken. Such a wide area takes much longer to turn into a void than the smaller one they do. Everything within it will feel as if the ground is melting ever so slightly, turning from rock to quicksand. Even the Crimson Wolfos is sinking down. "Why are we here?" Koume cries. "It's a little reminder. King Ganon has not forgotten you traitors." And Kotake cries, also circling the area that will be a portal within a minute, "He has suffered this Wolfos, this symbol of defiance, long enough!" The rain is falling, yes, but the Wolfos is already nearly in cinders and still burning... but the rain is extinguishing the many stray fires in the field.
As he kneels, Sheik feels the ground shift beneath him. "What cowardice!" he shouts. "Let Ganondorf come here and fight us!"
Dark Link isn't going to be left to fall to the ground... at least unaided. Though the witch was fast enough to get out from under him, he does manage to grab onto the tail end of the witch's broom just a bit. It's not a good grasp, and so he still ends up falling, but Kotake should feel some momentary drag downward. Yet he's sufficiently far enough away to see what their final ploy is. "Get back!" he calls over to Irina -- and Link, incidentally. "You'll be drawn in!" Dark Link seethes from the ground, watching the twin witches with hateful eyes.
Link starts off towards the inn but he nearly stumbles forward as he realizes his boots have partially sunk into the ground. He pulls out his longshot and grabs Irina, firing at the branch of a nearby tree. The two are quickly lifted to relative safety of a branch.
Xu looks to Einion and gives him a nod. "I'll come with, just in case. Though I do hope they'll be alright..." She starts running away from the Wolfos, hurrying everyone along as she takes the rear, her arrow still trained upward.
The Wolfos is slowly sinking as if in quicksand. Inanimate objects are much quicker to go under. As for everyone else, they'll see the ground turning from grass and dirt to black and gray energy in a swirling vortex. Within several moments, everyone's feet will have sunk an inch. A minute would leave them waist deep, and all the while it'd be hard running to pull yourself out of the constantly sinking ground. However, as it grows stronger the portal is very clear, just fifty feet on every side with the Wolfos in the middle. And beyond it safe ground.
Kaydin looks around to see the inn beginning to sink and so him as well. He grunts as he tries to run to the guy in green, the one who seemed to play the odd song and made it rain. "Sir! Run, everything is sinking!" He says as he tries to get this guy out of the way if so.
Aubrey keeps going along with Xu and Einion. In retrospect, maybe it's a good thing Irina is away. If she'd been here, probably both Aubrey and Irina would've gone up to get June, and then only one of them would've had a cushioned fall thanks to that guy back there, and it would've been much harder to get away. Hope that guy doesn't get in any trouble, though. Intent on getting June to safety, Aubrey doesn't notice the Wolfos's plight, and it wouldn't change much if he did. Noab, watching from a strategic distance, tightens his fists as well as his jaw. Loss and defeat are no strangers to the elderly ex-mercenary...but that doesn't mean he's grown to like their company. >.U
Kaydin looks around to see the inn beginning to sink and so him as well. He grunts as he tries to run to the guy in green, the one who seemed to play the odd song and made it rain. He watches him pull out some odd device and now for the moment he seems to be the one stuck here. He grunts as he tries to kick and move out of the forming portal, trying to get to some sort of safe ground.
Einion leads the small group away from the Wolfos. As they get to a safe distance, he turns and notices that the Inn's being sucked into some portal. Saying a little prayer to himself, he turns back and keeps going.
As the situation quickly becomes dire, Sheik makes his move, running for safe ground. But his foot catches in the sinkhole and he falls.
Irina hears the Shadow and does not have much time to realize that she is sinking when she is grabbed and pulled to the tree. She holds the trunk for a moment so that she does not fall, and stands on a strong branch with Link. From there, she can see Aubrey's group walking away, having June with them. She closes her eyes for a moment and breathes in relief. Her eyes widen as she watches the inn disappear in front of her eyes.
Crawling out of the quicksand, Sheik notices Kaydin. He darts over, though at a much-slower-than-usual-for-Sheik pace. "Don't move!" he yells to Kaydin as he approaches. Sheik offers out his hand as he steadies himself as best he can in the sinking mess.
Kaydin shakes his head. "We are going to get out together!" He yells to Sheik, offering him his hand. "Or you will get out alone." He says as he tries to cooperate with Sheik although will not if Sheik intends to stay behind.
Laughter only greets the ears of those who speak. Koume continues to circle, and unfortunately for Sheik he'll find a gust of ice streaking towards him to freeze him. And Kaydin too, if he's anywhere nearby. If they're hit, they have little chance of getting out in time. Thereafter Kotake continues the pattern, maintaining the portal. Of course, for good measure the tree in which Irina and Link stand will be hit with fire and start burning. Spiteful little hags, aren't they?
Dark Link watches all those he can see get out... yet he notices two people still stuck in the centre -- a Sheikah and someone else, whomever that is. Without thinking, and even without knowing who exactly it is still stuck in there, Dark Link snaps his fingers and reappears next to Sheik. Dark Link grabs onto him and disappears again, pulling Sheik and then Kaydin through the shadows, outside of the portal... hopefully in the nick of time.
Xu looks at the scene and sees the Wolfos -- or at least whatever was left of it -- start sinking into a portal. "Oh goddesses, you've already killed it; is that really necessary?" she says to herself as her white hair is blown about by the wind. Almost with a small tear coming down her face, she turns around and walks with Einion towards Kakariko.
Link sees the ball of fire approaching. He grabs Irina and calls out, "Jump! Run to solid ground." He jumps with her and immediately makes his way to terra firma.
Irina widens her eyes as she sees Dark's actions. However, she sees the fireball as well jumps off the tree with Link.
Kaydin grunts as he raises his staff with his free hand and hurls it like a spear for Kotake, an attempt to disrupt them before he is frozen solid by the spell, trying to break free so he could atleast try and save the one who tried to save him, unless Dark link managed to grab them and get them out.
The staff has quite a ways to travel upwards, and neither of the witches are ignorant of attacks from below. Therefore, Kotake merely veers a little to avoid it, but in that instant someone might not sink as much. Then the instant is gone and now the portal is sucking anyone on it down with full force. It's no longer quicksand--it's water.
Sheik does not bother to thank Dark Link for saving him. All his attention is on the witches as they circle, weary of what is to be done next. "What do you want with a simple bar, you hags?" he asks them both. "Surely your master has more pressing issues at the moment!"
Dark Link certainly expected to receive no thanks for his accomplishment. He'll just blend into the background, thanks. Which is exactly what he does. He starts walking away from Sheik after Sheik's attention moves back to the witches. He merely watches the witches and surveys everything with a neutral expression on his face.
They're saved from the portal...well done! But just as Sheik is done speaking the witch Kotake appears RIGHT THERE in the midst. Instantly an explosion of ice energy surrounds her and expand outwards violently, knocking all three back--Sheik and Kaydin towards the portal, Link away from it. Kotake swoops back up like an arrow, high up with her sister. If they should be knocked into the vortex they'd be swallowed instantly by the portal, but either way...there's a great swirling, as if the portal were a tornado, but it's more water spinning down the faucet rather than a whirlpool. The portal vanishes, leaving the ground around the Wolfos completely barren of any pebble, any shred of grass, or any life. Seared into the ground as if burnt are giant burns that spell GANONDORF spreading across twenty feet. As for the Wolfos it's halfway sunk to the windows, and..slightly tilted upwards. If one were to look in the half submerged windows, they'd see the charred insides of the once whole inn. And the twins are higgggh in the sky.
Irina is right there as well, so she is knocked back away from the portal and onto the ground. She is close to the witches now, and pulls out her bow in an attempt to shoot them. However, by the time she's able to aim, they are way too high to barely see them.
Dark Link is knocked away slightly from the blast, but given his position he's not knocked into the portal. He gets up, seeing the witches fly high into the night, leaving only a trace remnant of the Wolfos there in its place. "Damn it all!" he says angrily... yet there's honestly nothing he can do at this point. Nothing that can be done at all.
Link flies back as well but has no time for a valid counter-attack. He runs to the vortex but it is too late. When he turns around he has a look of panic across his face. "We must find them immediately."
Irina gets up and looks at Link, nodding. The barmaid knows what nightmare it is to be in Ganondorf's dungeons, but not knowing who Sheik really is, has no idea of the real magnitude of the problem. She looks around, taking a moment to see the destruction the witches left behind.
Dark Link gets back up and sees the concern on Link's face. He knows what happened, but it's not his business. Or rather, it kind of is... but it's not his business to say. He just sighs... knowing that what happened was certainly not a good thing.
Nabooru is pissed looking at all the destruction. Quaking, she hurls her scimitars onto the ground, loud clangs ring out around the area. Turning her back to everything she sighs and crosses her arms, too aggravated to speak.
